Part 2: Use Video Star Overlays with Christmas Footage
You can use overlays in any editing software where you can edit the blend modes. The steps are straightforward; we will show you in Final Cut Pro, but the blend mode options should be in your layer settings panel.
- Edit your footage in the timeline as you would normally.
- Import your downloaded overlay, and drag it to your timeline; position it above your footage.
- Trim the ends of your Overlay to match the clip/video.
- Select the Overlay clip in the timeline and go to the Inspector.
- Find the Blend Mode options and select Screen from the drop-down list.
